Assault Android Cactus is an intense twin stick shooter set in a vivid science fiction universe. The game is named after its hero, Cactus, an "Assault" class android.
It is an independent game being made by a three person team in Brisbane, powered by the Unity engine and being developed for Windows, OS X and Linux with digital releases planned for Playstation 4, Playstation Vita and WiiU.
The game was first available as a Steam Early Access title on the 29th of August, 2013 and received steady updates until the finished game was released on the 23rd of September, 2015.
The Playstation 4 version was released digitally through the PSN service on the 8th of March, 2016.

Witch Beam is an independent games team in Brisbane, Australia. Tim and Sanatana work full time on Assault Android Cactus.
Tim Dawson is a 3D animator and author of the web comic Dragon Tails. With 9 years experience in the games industry working for studios such as Midway, Team Bondi, Electronic Arts and Sega, Tim’s best work can be found in various cancelled titles. Tim fills the role of artist and animator and does a convincing impersonation of a programmer.
Sanatana Mishra started on the professional gaming circuit before making the leap to game development. In his 5 years at Sega, Sanatana shipped two console titles, worked on numerous prototypes and made the independant game Antibody Boost before succumbing to the siren call of indie development. Sanatana handles design duties.
Jeff van Dyck is a British Academy Award-winning (BAFTA) composer best known for his emotive and immersive soundtracks in the historical strategy franchise, Total War. His music can also be found in numerous EA Sports titles, including the iconic Need for Speed series, NHL Hockey and FIFA Soccer. Jeff’s soundtracks have been licensed for documentaries and films produced by the BBC and the History Channel. Within the game industry, Jeff is a renowned Audio Director, who is passionate and talented in defining the entire scope of game sound.
